  • Description

The field of public procurement is highly important as the contracting parties are obliged to comply with European regulations. Officers in charge of public procurement need to familiarise themselves with all legislative changes recently adopted with regard to public procurement regulations and contract management. In order to choose the most appropriate offer from numerous public tenders, award and selection criteria should be set out beforehand. The differentiation between types of criteria is not always easy. The aim of public procurement rules is the establishment and maintenance of a level playing field which presupposes a procurement market with fair and open competition. Only by these means can the money of the public authorities be spent effectively in securing the best available offer and the waste of public funds be avoided.

The determination to combat fraud and corruption in the public procurement sector is an important part of the agenda of the EU memeber states.  Setting up of an effective and secure procurement management system requires the establishment of fraud risk assessment and management tools. It is of crucial importance to acquire further education on the latest updates in the field of public procurement regulations and public procurement process management. ESI Funds Academy provides participants with a comprehensive knowledge in the field of public procurement. Join our workshop targeting effective procurement management, and become an expert in public procurement law and management!
