He has worked as consultant for Deloitte Consulting in Belgium, as well as Policy Research Corporation in the Netherlands. He has also been a lecturer at the Rotterdam Business School, responsible for teaching topics like strategy, risk management and research methodology in the master’s and MBA programmes, and for chairing the school’s curriculum board. He has also lectured at the Haagse Hogeschool in The Hague on the topic of external risk management in the Master’s Programme on Risk Management, and has been responsible for the evaluation skills lab at Antwerp Management School for the Master’s Programme in Public Management. In addition, for five years, he led the EU-wide Community of Practice on results-based management. In this capacity, he also contributed to the European Commission’s new toolbox on the quality of public administration.
Currently, he is responsible for innovation, impact evaluation, and methodology at the European Social Fund (ESF) department in the Flemish Ministry for Labour and Social Economy (Belgium). He is also a coordinator for the transnational network of public administration and governance on behalf of the EC. He also lectures at the Antwerp Management School on public sector innovation.
