Professional experience


Paweł Chorąży has over 18 years of experience in the field of EU funds.

He started his professional career in the public administration as a junior expert responsible for pre-accession funds (PHARE, World Bank). In 2004 he became a Director in the Ministry of Regional Development responsible for ESF, EGF and OECD LEED. In the years 2015 – 2018 he served as a Deputy Minister in charge of EU Funds coordination and implementation of several ESF and ERDF OPs.

Paweł participated since Poland’s EU accession in the preparations and implementation of all programming periods both at EU and national level. He was an independent member in the EU High Level Group on Simplification ESI Funds contributing to the simplification agenda in the current programming period and regulations for 2021+.

Paweł has an extensive international experience. He was engaged in the number of Polish, EU and OECD projects inter alia in Croatia, Romania, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Moldova.

He is a graduate from University of Warsaw (international relations and Latin American Studies, 1998) and National School of Public Administration (2001). Paweł was a fellow of Robert Bosch Foundation in Germany (2003 – 2004). He participated in the IESE Business School Top Public Executive Programme (2018) and recently graduated from the Leadership Academy for Poland (2019).
