Expert on Technical Assistance
She holds an MBA degree from Sofia University. Extensive experience in management of programs, financed under Pre-accession financial instruments and Structural Funds of European Union. (Contracting authority of Phare and Shengen Facility and Managing authorities of Operational programs Administrative Capacity and Good Governance).
Experienced in management of Technical assistance projects in both programming periods – 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. She lead projects from analyzing the need for interventions, researching the various modes of execution, planning and targeting the activities, preparing the budget, through implementing the activities, achieving the indicators and reporting the results and preparing payment requests for the costs incurred. Her daily responsibilities include project team and contractor’s supervision, assurance of full compliance with applicable legal framework, preparation of budget forecasts, etc. Part of her job is contracting services and supplies through public procurement procedures.
Parallel with above-mentioned responsivities, she is audit manager of all the directorates. This includes communication with audit and control authorities, drafting comments on behalf of the managing authority, preparing action plans and tracking the corrective measures.
In addition, she has participated in several evaluation committees for project proposals for grants.
She has a detailed view of all the major stages in the process of managing EU Funds programs.
