Professional experience

Zsuzsanna Kondor is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Philosophy of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

After completing her studies from the Janus Pannonius University in Pécs, Hungary, Zsuzsanna began her career at the Hungarian Foundation for Enterprise Promotion as a training manager, eventually taking on the role of the acting director of the PHARE SME Development Programme.

From 1997 to 2001 she worked as a management consultant on a broad range of projects in regional development, SME development, and tourism promotion. In 2001, while working in a government agency, she helped Hungary to prepare for the implementation of Cohesion Policy funds, and the year after, joined the National Development Agency as the head of its Structural Funds unit.

Between 2003 and 2013, Zsuzsanna headed the Coordination Managing Authority, specifically managing  strategic planning, institutional development, evaluation, the management of Hungary’s TA Programme, and liaisons with the European Commission and the Member States. Since 2014, she has been working on freelance projects funded by the EC, international donors, and national budgets, on various aspects of Cohesion Policy implementation.

Zsuzsanna is also a member of the National University of Public Service, where she designs and implements research and educational projects related to public policy and Cohesion Policy. In this role, she manages the development of textbooks, case studies, and other reference materials, and also conducts lectures for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students.
